As children we were told, “You can do anything you put your mind to” it seemed like a silly thing to believe, like those thoughts as a kid were only just dreams. Now that I am older I realize that this saying is very much so true. I honestly believe that whatever you put your mind to you can achieve it as long as you go for it and put your all into it. No matter how big or small the dream may be you can accomplish anything. Here are some helpful tips for entrepreneurs on the rise.

  1. Find what you love

This is probably one of the most important tips of them all. One of my favorite sayings “if you’re doing something you don’t love then why are you doing it?” often times we get  wrapped up in doing stuff for the wrong reasons. Simply doing things because it will make us a lot of money, or because our parents told us to do it. I would rather make little to no money doing something that I am passionate about and love than to get paid doing something that I absolutely hate. There is no greater feeling than finding your purpose and walking in it so find what makes you passionate and what makes you happy!

  1. Create a plan

People are sometimes in such a hurry to accomplish things they forget this important step. Create a plan! It is so easy to get caught up in excitement and just go straight for it but you need to sit down and create a plan. Whether it’s starting a business, building a brand, starting a youtube page or whatever, you need to write out a plan in how you’re going to execute it. A house isn’t built without a blueprint so put all of your ideas down on paper and get them organized. Create a plan and stick to it!

  1. Just do it!

Often times we know what we want to do, how we want to do it but we just don’t do it. In order for your dreams to manifest you have to be like Nike and Just do it! This is probably the hardest step there is! It takes a lot of courage to be able to step out of your comfort zone and chase after your dreams but it is so necessary to do. I would hate to have gone through life still holding on to my dreams because I was too afraid to chase after them. No dream is unreachable! Whether it’s fear, doubt or worrying about what others think,  think about what is holding you back and tackle it!   A good push to get you started is to announce your idea or plan. By announcing it you’re putting it out into the atmosphere and now telling others, in which they are going to hold you accountable. If you announce your idea on Facebook or to your family and friends people are waiting for you to follow through with your idea. At this point there is no going back so by announcing your plan you are now forced to complete it. Don’t allow anything to hold you back from following your dreams and truly believe that you can do anything you put your mind to if you just do it!

  1. Stay Consistent!

You’ve found what you loved, you’ve created a plan and followed through now you may be asking now what? Stay consistent! If you complete the first three steps but don’t stay consistent then all of your hopes and dreams have all gone to waste. Staying consistent is so important, it is so easy to start something and not finish it. Keep thinking of new ideas to keep you on your feet! There are days where you won’t feel like getting up and days where you may think this was a bad idea or days when you are just simply being lazy and don’t want to do anything. Consistency and perseverance is key. It may start off slow and it may not start off how you thought it would. You may have thoughts of giving up but stay consistent in all that you do and never give up in chasing your dreams!

It’s never too late to start following your dreams, start NOW! Challenge yourself, believe in yourself and take risks!
