2017 has been the year of #BlackGirlMagic from actresses and entertainers to politicians, there has been so many inspiring women throughout the year. Welcome to NYAGIRL+! You know the celebs and public figures you see on tv and the internet and you’ve already established in your head that they are your friend? No… just me? Okay… well here you can find some awesome NYAGIRLS that are in the public eye. No matter their rank on the “celebrity scale,” their industry or background, here we will be sharing all of your favs and your soon to be new favs in industries of all sorts.
Introducing our first NYAGIRL+ is a girl right here from Houston, TX the incredible One Take Stace, Ms. Stacy Ike! I recently discovered Stacey Ike at the 2017 Essence Festival as she was one of the interviewers on stage and I have been fan-girling ever since.
Stacy has worked as an on-camera talent, host and writer for Afterbuzz TV, Smashbox Cosmetics, Baller Alert, Hollywood Reporter and many more. She has interviewed Tyler Perry, Tom Ford, and our girl Iyanla Vanzant just to name a few and she is currently the host of Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) first live show, OWN Tonight where cast members from the hit TV show Greenleaf and other celebs join to talk about Greenleaf and other pop-culture topics.
Since Essence I have followed Stacey on social media and discovered her website and YouTube channel which has been absolutely inspiring! I have watched nearly all of her videos and read all of her blog post following her journey. Stacy has truly become an inspiration to me. From her blog post, YouTube videos and even interviews you can truly sense how genuine she is, the passion she has for her career and her love for Christ. Stacy is truly #Goals and is most definitely deemed a #NYAGIRL.
There is no one in this world who is not meant for greatness. Fight for your fairytale – it DOES exist!
– Stacy Ike
This is one of my favorite Vlogs from Stacy. Here she discusses the first time she met Oprah on the red carpet. Seeing her transition from red carpet to now being the host on OWN and working for someone she admires is truly an inspirational story.
You can catch up with Stacy at StacyIke.com, and on Instagram and Twitter @onetakestace.
