Artists of Input Output Create Public Art Installation for ‘Be Someone’ Mural

Input Output is a creative lab that designs, researches, and develops immersive digital experiences.

If you weren’t able to witness this light show on the night Input Output lit up the ‘Be Someone’ Mural, you truly missed out on an experience. On Thursday, November 23rd, artists Alex Ramos and Wave used a projection lighting scheme to create a sequence of lighting that flowed through one of Houston’s most-acclaimed graffiti murals.

I drew instant comparisons of this light show with how the NBA illuminates courts during the NBA Finals. Using projection to make the court seem as though it is drifting or moving apart.

It’s a wonderful experience and though I wasn’t there to witness this installation in person, the video tells it all. A tune up and renewal to one of if not the best inspirational art piece the city of Houston has to offer.
