The students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, who just a week ago lost 17 of their classmates and staff members due to a mass shooting. In the midst of their anger and tragedy the students have been advocates for reform and have been speaking openly about their issues with gun policies.

Thousands of students rallied Wednesday outside of the Florida Capitol and met with legislators to urge them to change gun laws.

This is more than Parkland. This is more than Florida. This is more than the United States. This is something serious. It is about human lives.
Over the last week students have rallied and marched together to stand against gun violence.  These students have created campaigns on social media, held protest and walk outs nationwide and have stood up to some of the highest authority. Even in the midst of tragedy, the strength and courage of these students has truly been inspirational and will serve honor to those fallen due to gun violence.
