‘Dear White People’ Reveals Season 2 Teaser and Release Date

Your favorite Netflix series is back! Dear White People Vol. 2 premieres Friday, May 4 on Netflix. 
Dear White People
follows a group of African american students at Winchester University a predominantly white institution, where they navigate through a diverse variety of social injustices, cultural bias, and activism. Dealing with things like cultural appropriation, slavery, sex and gender, and oppression.

Starring Logan Browning (Sam), Brandon P. Bell (Troy), Antoinette Robertson (Coco), DeRon Horton (Lionel), John Patrick Amedori (Gabe), and Marque Richardson (Reggie)

In addition to the regular cast, some new faces of will be joining the fun including Lena Waithe, Todrick Hall, Kid Fury and more.

Creator of Dear White People and executive producer Justin Simien told Entertainment Weekly that the audience should expect a good deal of mystery between the stars of this season.

“Everyone’s got secrets this season – secrets from each other, secrets from themselves. There’s lots of things that the characters don’t know and have kind of repressed, and sort of going into those treasure troves is something a lot of the characters are doing,” said Simien.
